ʻĀina Stewardship Leader
2023 Summer internship
Akahiaoʻs vision is to create a model for the future of ecocentric ways of knowing, circular economies and vitally happy, healthy children. We strive to develop meaningful relationships amongst the youth and with the natural world through our experiential, nature immersive programming. We believe that strong relationships are built through time spent together, and our service projects will provide ample opportunity for kids to discover and explore their own love of nature. The ʻAina Stewardship Educatorʻs mission is to understand and appreciate our unique culture and land management techniques of working with nature rather than against her, and sharing that with the youth groups with enthusiasm and aloha.
